This beginner-level course will present the basics of human resources management (HRM). It is intended for both working professionals and students who have not received any formal business training. The consists of five sections:

In the first section, we will get to know the responsibilities of HRM professionals. we will understand the difference between the GRH and the personnel management. Finally, we will discuss the skills necessary for HRM.
The second section is devoted to the recruiting process. We will understand how job analysis plays an important role in recruiting. We will see the advantages and disadvantages of internal hiring versus external hiring. We will explore different channels for external approval Our final consideration in this section will lead to the costs of recruiting.
In the third section, we'll look at the six-step selection process.
In the fourth section, we will include the steps in designing the performance appraisal process. We will discuss issues with the performance review process. We will then look at various methods of performance evaluation. Finally, we will learn how to deal with performance issues.
In the last section, we will see how the professionals of training and development manage employee orientation, design training programs and execute career development programs.

Shrikant Mulik is MBA from IIT Bombay and B.E. (Computer) from the University of Mumbai. He is pursuing a doctorate at NMIMS University. Shrikant is the CEO of an edutech company called Vidyarjan Consulting Pvt Ltd. Previously, he worked at L&T Infotech for 18 years, NMIMS University for 18 months and IIT Bombay for 360 days.
